Welcome to the Town of Rimbey, "A Community On The Move". We are a thriving community of 2,378 people, located in Central Alberta. The Town was named after the Rimbey family of Illinois. In 1901, Samual Rimbey brought some 200 people from Kansas to settle on the northeast ridge of the beautiful Blindman River Valley. We hope the information contained within this profile is useful.
