Welcome to Youngstown

Youngstown is a small agricultural village in the heart of Alberta's ranch country. The community of approximately 180 people touts itself as a "Sportsman's Paradise" with plenty of wild game and trout fishing.

Youngstown is a great place to raise a family, with a school within the community catering to grades one through twelve and a privately run kindergarten.

For the outdoorsy types, Youngstown is close to some great fishing holes. Hunting is quite popular for those that like to hunt geese, ducks, white tail deer, mule deer and antelope. Moose hunting is just minutes away and camping sites are close for fishing and relaxing on the beach.

During the winter months, the curling rink is kept busy with weekly square draw and four curling bonspiels. Summer is baseball time and there is an annual tournament. The following weekend is the annual curling bonspiel. Youngstown is a small community with a big heart "where everyone knows your name".
